BCK's Unique Approach to Environmental Education
BCK's ecoliteracy programs connect real-world environmental science to the classroom, all while assisting municipalities and school districts in broadening their required outreach and education efforts. BCK’s ecoliteracy programs also help municipalities and school districts comply with California regulations.
In contrast to programs that only teach about environmental issues, BCK immerses students in investigating real environmental projects at their schools, while also applying their existing knowledge in a variety of content areas such as Science and Language Arts. Additionally, our programs help students further develop career and life readiness skills in the areas of critical thinking/problem solving, accessing and analyzing information, collaboration, initiative, effective oral and written communication, and more.
